Alice Marie Davis Gill, Ph.D. was born Sept. 21, 1947 in Chicago and passed away Dec. 26, 2020 at her residence in Brookhaven after a brief illness.
Dr. Gill came to Indianola in 1967 to teach biology and mathematics at Gentry High School. In 1970 she moved back to Brookhaven and spent the rest of her working career at Alcorn State University.
Graveside services for Dr. Gill will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Hillcrest Cemetery, Brookhaven, with the Reverend Birden Mitchell officiating. The service will be livestreamed via Facebook at Tyler Funeral Home, Inc.
