The monthly "Safe Online Space (S.O.S.) for Healing Conversations" local online chatroom session for sexual assault victims/survivors will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. MONDAY, JAN. 17. The topic for discussion will be “New Beginning - Discovering Your Strength.” Victims and/or survivors may log on at https://www.ourhousevoices.com/online-chat to join the session (click on a SOS link and then the word "chat"). Sunflower Stitchers
Sunflower Stitchers meets the third Wednesday of every month (next date: JAN. 19) at the Sunflower County Extension office. Their community service project is “Welcome Baby Bags” for newborns at South Sunflower County Hospital. For more info call Ann Twiner, MSU-Extension Agent at 662-887-1901.
ServSafe® Food Safety Course
Attention restaurant owners, managers, and/or employees who need certification in ServSafe®! The ServSafe® Food Safety Course will be offered in Indianola from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. TUESDAY, FEB. 15 at the Extension Office, 112 South MLK Dr., Indianola. The cost is $140 per person. Don’t put your food service businesses in jeopardy by waiting become ServSafe® certified. (This class is held in the Sunflower County Extension’s upstairs auditorium. Trinity Outreach Church is seeking boys and girls in grades 3-9 to become members of the 4-H organization. 4-H is the youth development program of the Mississippi State University Extension Service. 4-H is an informal learn-by-doing educational program in which members learn cooking, art activities, planting gardens and raising animals.
