Prayer Breakfast

The Sunflower County Women's Association of the Sunflower County Missionary Baptist Association will have its Annual Prayer Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in the Lillian Matthews Banquet Hall at Bell Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1301 B. B. King Road.  Churches and individuals who are affiliated with the Sunflower County Missionary Baptist Association are encouraged to invite members from your congregation and guests from the community for a day of fellowship and praising God.  Donations will be accepted and appreciated.


Women in White/Pastel

The public is invited to the Annual Women's Day Program at Lake Chapel Missionary Baptist  Church at 11:00 a.m. Sunday.  They are asking the women to wear white or any pastel color. The speaker will be Sis. Cora Smith.

Hill 2 Year Pre-Anniversary and Anniversary Services to be held  at 7 p.m. nightly April 15-17, and will climax at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 21. Guest speakers will be Monday, Dr. Sedric D. Veal Sr. of Temple Baptist Church of Clevelandm Ohio, Tuesday, Billy Barber of Zion Progressive and Pleasant Green Church of Leland and Moorhead, Wednesday, Dr. C. W. Ray of Jakes Chapel, Mount Hebron, Friendship, Saint Matthew, Little Mount Zion, and Mount Tabor Churches, and Sunday, Dr. Jesse King, of Greater Saint Peter Missionary Baptist Church of Greenville. The theme scripture is “Look What the Lord Has Done”, 1 Timothy 1:12.


Central Fellowship Service

El Bethel Bible Way Apostolic Church, 16095 Dr. Martin Luther King Highway 49 in Tchula, will host the Central Fellowship of the Mississippi and Western Tennessee District Council service beginning at 7:00 p.m.   April 19. Bishop Earnest Miller, pastor of Greater Harvest Worship Center located in Greenwood, will be the speaker. The congregation of El Bethel would like to invite you to come join them as they celebrate and give thanks to their resurrected Savior, Jesus Christ, during the service on this Good Friday.


Passion Week Services

The Jacob Chapel Missionary Baptist  Church invites you to their Passion Week Services starting at 7 p.m. nightly April 15-19. Guest speakers will be Monday, Rev. Mark Buckner, Tuesday, Rev. Adoris Turner, Wednesday, Mister Sherrod Reed, Thursday, Rev. W. C. McCormick, and Friday, Rev. Gary Perryman.


Spritual Warfare

   Ross Ministries School of Discipleship will present the teaching lesson “The Truth about Spiritual Warfare” at 6:15 p.m. on the following Wednesdays: April 17, 24 and May 1. If you are fighting depression, suicidal thoughts, emotional distress, etc. please attend these meetings at Full Gospel Church, located in the Lovelace Shopping Center beside the Tower Loan building.


Holy Week Service

   The members of Greater Lee Chapel African Methodist Episcopal, 211 Sunflower Avenue, Moorhead, would like to invite the public to their Holy Week Service at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 17. Rev. Horace McKay will be the guest preacher for this glorious occasion.

Bell Grove Missionary Baptist Church Mission Ministry is having a “Clothing Give-A-Way” from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 19 at the Lillian Banks Fellowship Hall, 1301 B.B. King Road.

Chain Revival

The New Beginning Restoration Ministry Church Family will be having their “Break Every Chain Revival” at 7 p.m. nightly April 18th & 19th. Apostle Johnathan Davis of Kingdom Seekers International Ministry of West Memphis, Arkansas will be the guest speaker at Gabby’s Events on Front Street.


Good Friday Service

   The Sunflower County Unified Christian Organization presents its 16th Annual Community Good Friday Service  from noon to 3 p.m. on Friday, April 19 at First United Missionary Baptist Church, 718 Coolidge Street. The seven presenters will be Rev. David Stevenson, Minister Curtistene S. Davis, Minister Betty L. Petty, Rev. Mark Buckner, Rev. Larry King, Rev. Clifford King and Rev. Frederick Ford. Walk with the Cross

   You are invited to participate in Christ United Methodist Church’s annual “Walk with The Cross” which will take place at noon Good Friday, April 19. Participants will start at First United Methodist Church at 12 noon and will walk to Christ United Methodist Church, where there will be singing and a short devotion. Water and transportation back to FUMC will be provided.


Annual 7 Last Sayings of Jesus

Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, 1303 4th Ave, will celebrate their Annual 7 Last Sayings of Jesus at Calvary at 7 p.m. April 19. Local pastors and churches will be guest speakers for this service.


Annual Spring Revival

Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 2110 Kinlock Road, is having their Annual Spring Revival April 23-25. There will be guest choirs nightly. The special guest will be Rev. Sammie Rash of First United Baptist Church of Cleveland.


Young Adult Ministry

The Young Adult Ministry of First United Baptist Church cordially invites you to their 4th annual Young Adult Ministry program to be held at 11 a.m.  Sunday, April 28. The speaker will be Pastor Lisa Reed Day, pastor of Wasp Lake Missionary Baptist Church of Belzoni. The program’s theme will be “Trusting God to Do a New Thing” (Isaiah 43:19).
