Lady Tigers, IA soccer teams advance, Gentry girls end season

There was a lot of playoff action today for multiple Sunflower County teams across multiple sports. 

The Lady Tigers of Thomas E. Edwards defeated visiting Booneville 71-35 tonight after winning the district tournament this past weekend.

Jacorriah Bracey led the home team with 43 points, 12 rebounds, 1 steal and 8 assists. Shimyah Thomas had 13 points and 8 assists. 

The boys team from Ruleville will play Nettleton tomorrow night at home at 6 p.m.

In other action, the Lady Rams of Gentry ended their season on a long road trip to Iuka, falling to Tishomingo High School 36-24. 

The Rams will host New Albany Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

In boys soccer playoffs action, Indianola Academy shut out Porters Chapel 9-0 Monday to advance to the second round.
