Baptist Association donates $1k to SSCH

Administrators at South Sunflower County Hospital received a welcomed financial shot in the arm on Wednesday as members of the Sunflower County Baptist Association presented them with a $1,000 donation on behalf of the area churches that are members of the organization.

Courtney Phillips, hospital administrator, said the received funds would go towards providing PPE equipment for the staff. Executive secretary for the association, the Reverend Clifford Wilson said it was the association's way of showing their appreciation for the work that the hospital is doing and continues to do.

Referencing the dedicated individual service providers, Wilson said, "Somebody has to be here."
