The number of COVID-19 patients associated with Sunflower County nursing home facilities is on the rise.
According to data released by the Mississippi State Department of health on Monday, there are currently three long-term care facilities with multiple staff and resident cases.
Indywood Personal Care Home currently has five cases among staff and two among residents, according to MSDH.
Ruleville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center has eight confirmed cases among staff and four among residents.
Walter B. Crook Nursing Facility in Ruleville has seven among staff and one resident, according to the latest data.
The total number of cases in Sunflower County rose from 633 on Sunday to 656 on Monday.
Sunflower County still reportedly has 11 deaths associated with the virus, according to MSDH.
According to Sunflower County Coroner Heather Burton, that number is in reality at least a dozen.
Data given by MSDH often lags actual numbers.
