No thru traffic

Storms rocked Indianola during the early part of the week, one causing this large tree to fall across Sunflower Avenue on Monday morning. Power was knocked out at some residences because of the tree, and traffic to the busy street was blocked for hours until crews were able to safely cut the tree out of the road.






Lampton’s family legacy will be long remembered

Within the span of a couple of weeks, the Mississippi lost the patriarch and matriarch of one of our most prominent families, the Lamptons.

Leslie B. Lampton, was founder of Ergon, which has 2,600 employees in Mississippi, 29 other states, and several other countries. Dorothy Lee Crum Lampton was his wife for 69 years.
