Horse show champ

Isabella Howell shows “Dixie” in the Mississippi 4-H State Horse Show after winning Champion Saddle and Gaited Mare. Earlier, she had won and qualified in many different classes at the district show in Tunica, allowing her to represent Sunflower County in the state competition.



Hospital Leadership Award

Lisa Miller, an RN at North Sunflower Medical Center, receives the Hospital Leadership of the Year Award from Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency CEO Kevin Stump on July 13 in Jackson. It was part of the fourth annual Spero Awards, which recognize those who help promote organ, eye and tissue donation.
