Guy Malone Phillips II, 34, of Holly Ridge, passed away Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021, at St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson.
Malone was born Jan. 4, 1987 in Indianola to Guy Malone Phillips and Jerilyn Dawn Britton. He was a graduate of Deer Creek School and Delta State University. Malone was an insurance agent with Indianola Insurance and a realtor with Charles Davis Realty in Indianola. He was a member of the Indianola Lions Club. Malone loved life. He loved his two children more than anything in this world. He loved his family, his friends, hunting and God. He would do anything for anybody. He was handsome, funny and charismatic, and had a heart of gold. He always made sure he was working just hard enough to play a little harder.
Malone was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dr. A. M. Phillips and Jacqueline Quintini Phillips and his brother-in-law, Kyle Giachelli.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Lynsey Giachelli Phillips; son, August Malone Phillips; daughter, Neely Virginia Phillips, all of Holly Ridge; father, Guy (Rivers) Phillips of Indianola; mother, Jerilyn Britton McKee of Greenville; maternal grandfather, Jerry Britton of Greenville; maternal grandmother, Sandra Britton of Greenville; two brothers, Hunter Britton Phillips of Victoria, Texas and Ashton Schiefer Phillips of Oxford; half-sister, Sarah Clayton Casevechia; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tommy and Daisy Hughes Giachelli of Holly Ridge; brother-in-law, J.T. (Robyn) Giachelli of Holly Ridge; sister-in-law, Kelsey Giachelli (Brett) Grimes of Flowood; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17 at Indianola City Cemetery with the Rev. Trey Skaggs officiating.
Burton Funeral Home of Indianola was entrusted with arrangements.
