Graveside services for Jessie Owens of Crest Hill, Ill. will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oak Grove Church Cemetery, Indianola.
Mr. Owens, 88, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at Byas Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Owens is survived by: four daughters, Posey Owens of Colorado, Patricia Owens of Iowa, Melba Moore of Chicago and Angel Carter of Georgia; six sons, Charles Owens and Jessie Owens Jr., both of Indianola, Carlos Ward of North Carolina, Ricky Ward of Louisiana and Dexter Henley and Jessie D. Owens, both of Starkville; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
