The end of the Thanksgiving break recently brought the Indianola Academy basketball teams quickly back into action this past week.
While a Monday visit to Washington School in Greenville left both IA squads without a victory, Tuesday night’s play on their own court earned the Colonels a 55-48 home-court win over North Delta School of Batesville.
Continuing on through their schedule this next week, the 4-3 Colonels and the 0-7 Lady Colonels remain in their own gym tonight when Lee Academy of Clarksdale visits town.
Additional action occurs next Monday when the IA squads travel to Tunica Academy.
Both nights of play begin with a 6 p.m. tipoff for the girls’ game while the boys will play immediately thereafter.
In their most recent victory over North Delta School, the Colonels benefited from the double digit scoring of three players.
Leading this trio with a 20 point night of play was Cole Ferrell.
Meanwhile, C.J. Brown and E. J. Hall dropped 13 and 12 points respectively through the basket against the Green Wave defense.
Other action this past Monday saw the Colonels drop a 46-32 decision to Washington School of Greenville.

Meanwhile, in girls’ action Tuesday night, the Lady Colonels fell by a 53-13 margin to North Delta School.
