Cops and Robbers October 17, 2019

Indianola police made the following arrests,

On Sunday at 7:27 p.m., Kayla Renay Weatherspoon, 19, 347 Crittenden St, Greenville and Ladedra Marsha Bryant, 19, 118 South Sunset Terrace, Jackson were arrested and charged with shoplifting after a Walmart employee said they stole $44 worth of sweaters.

Fall Revival

Cruger First Apostolic Church, located at 158 Blanchard Street at the corner of Hwy. 49 in Cruger, will host a Fall Revival at 7 p.m. tomorrow and 11 a.m. Sunday. The speaker will be Suffragan Bishop Melvin Falkner, pastor of Zion Tabernacle Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Derrick Reed

Services for Derrick Reed of Indianola will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bell Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Mr. Reed, 34, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Byas Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Gardens.



Roosevelt Howard Sr.

Services for Roosevelt Howard Sr. of Indianola will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Natha’s Ministries Word of God Church.

Mr. Howard, 79, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2018.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Byas Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Gardens.




Another Moorhead officer’s car torched, arrest made

For the second time in three months, arsonists have torched personal vehicles owned by Moorhead police officers, but this latest incident has sparked an arrest.

Henry Lewis 50, whose address is said to be 402 Spruce St., Greenville, was arrested and charged with first-degree arson and trespassing after notice of non-permission.
