Nancy Comeaux Strowd, 91, of Indianola and formerly of Isola, passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021 at Indywood Personal Care Home in Indianola.
Nancy was born April 23, 1929, in Memphis and was the daughter of George Theodore Comeaux and Nancy Wallace VanMeter Comeaux. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, shopping with her friends, and taking walks. Nancy was a member of Dorsett Drive Christian Church in Indianola.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William Earl Strowd Sr.
Nancy is survived by three children, Debra Strowd Weems (Jimmy) of Oxford, Carol Strowd Linker (Dan) of Waynesville, N.C. and Bill Strowd of Senatobia; four grandchildren, Wes Strowd (Lauren), Colin Weems, Peyton Weems (Bailey) and Sara Brooks Weems; and one great-granddaughter, Ann Wesley Strowd.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 3 at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Inverness with the Rev. Jim Woods officiating.
Burton Funeral Home of Indianola was entrusted with arrangements.
