The Sunflower County Children Extravaganza, brought to you by Change 4 A Change, S.E.L.F. (Supreme Elites Leading Families) and Y.A.G.A. (Youth Against Gang Activity) will take place from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at B.B. King Park. There will be food, fun jumps, prizes, refreshments, games, toys, train rides, face painting, a live DJ and a special balloon release honoring Earnestia “Nee Nee” Hunter.
Family and Friends Day
The Tenth (10th) Masonic District will sponsor its “Family and Friends Day” at 1 p.m. Saturday. The program will be held at the All Nations House of Prayer, 205 French Road. All 10th District officers and members, including the Order of Eastern Star are encouraged to attend the annual event. Gentry High School Choir
The Gentry High School Choir fundraiser Recognition committee will recognize the choir director, Mr. Harvey Jackson and the choir members from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday at First United Baptist Church. They are asking the entire Indianola community to come out and support the kids.

The Sunflower County MVSU Alumni Association presents its annual Choir Concert, featuring the voices of the mighty MVSU Choir along with the Gentry High School Choir, at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at First United Baptist Church, Indianola. Delta Baby Cafe
Sunflower County will have a new resource for expectant mothers and their families beginning in April. The Delta Baby Café - Let’s Talk will be located inside the Sunflower County Health Department in Indianola. The Café, which is a drop-in site for all pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum mothers and their families, will be open every Tuesday from 11a.m. to 2 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. MSU Extension Service
nBeginners Quilting Class will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon, April 10 & 11 at the Extension office. There is a $20 registration fee. Please come by the office to sign up and get the list of materials needed! Must have some knowledge of machine sewing. Space is limited!
