Cops and Robbers February 7, 2019

Indianola police made the following arrests,

On Friday at 10:21 p.m., William Earl Hankins, 31, 58 Sunrise Road and Michael Nissen 28, 215 Lee St., were arrested and charged with grand larceny ($500 or more) after police received a call from a man that someone in a black 2012 Altima was taking items off of a tractor-trailer at Supervalu and placing them into the trunk of the car. The men allegedly stole a long list of items including but not limited to, ibuprofen tablets, Halls cough drops, Gas-X tablets, a variety of other pain medications, Dum Dum suckers, Suave shampoo, Coffee-Mate creamers, Trident gum, markers, envelopes, halogen light bulbs, cough medicine, extension cords, Nabisco cheese and crackers and more.

On Thursday at 7:58 a.m., John David James Jr., 28, 635 Houston Ave., Jackson and Cedric Dupree Mosley 43, 1607 Hair St., Jackson were arrested and charged with felony shoplifting (over $1,000) after a Walmart employee said the duo stole two Roku TV’s valued at $276, a $269 surround sound system, two Soundbarmm45 surround sound systems valued at $398, a 32-inch Sanyo TV valued at $128, a 32-inch HDTV valued at $149, $14 worth of men’s boxers and $9 worth of socks and left the store without paying for them.

On January 29 at 11:02 a.m., Cynthia Shontiel Fleming, 29, 505 Hough Ave., and Laquita Jernigan 34, 125 North Davis Circle were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct—disturbing public school or meeting after police were called to Lockard Elementary School. In addition, both women are also listed as victims along with the school and a 39-year-old Coates Street man and another woman are listed as suspects.

On Jan. 30 at 1:25 p.m., a 56 year-old B.B. King Road woman called police to the justice court building on Main Street and said someone had stolen her identity.

On Jan. 30 at 6:16 a.m., a 29-year-old Fountain Street man said a 43-year-old Adair Avenue man broke into his car and stole a Pioneer radio.

On Friday at 9:13 p.m., a 43-year-old Elaine Street woman said a 30-year-old Aquarius Circle man stole her lawn mower valued at $300.

On Thursday at 11:31 a.m., a 41-year-old Duncan Circle woman said someone stole the license plate off of her 2006 Nissan.

On Monday at 6:25 p.m., a Stonewall Drive woman said a 16-year-old Capshaw Street girl assaulted her 16-year-old daughter at Gentry High School.

On Jan. 30 at 5:23 p.m., 26-year-old North Walker Circle man said a 28year-old B.B. King Road man was harassing him.

On Monday at 7:43 p.m., a 32-year old Barnes Street man, driving a 2012 Nissan, refused to stop for the blue lights after an officer spotted him on U.S. 82, traveling east, with no headlights.

On Jan. 30 at 7:56 a.m., a 43-year-old Oak Street man said someone broke into his 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, Ford pickup truck and his 2000 Buick and stole a MP3 player and two JVC radios.

On Saturday at 6:25 p.m., a 52-year-old Oak Street man said somebody stabbed him.

On Saturday at 7:14 p.m., a Stonewall Drive man said someone put sugar in the tank of his 2003 Mercedes-B.

On Friday at 7:14 a.m., an East Herman Johnson Street man said a 55-year-old East Herman Johnson Street man was harassing him.

On Monday at 1:47 p.m., a 20-year-old South Davis Circle woman said someone had stolen her MasterCard and amassed $765 worth of charges.

On Saturday at 12:49 p.m., a Citi Trends employee said a 21-year-old Birch Road, Kenosha, Wisconsin woman stole some perfume from the store.

On Jan. 28 at 2:45 p.m., a Sycamore Street Benoit woman said a 43-year-old Marie Avenue man came to her office in the 600 block of U.S. 82, and tried to grab her.

On Friday at 8:47 a.m., a West Herman Johnson Street man said two unknown women sprayed white paint on his green 2012 BMW 750.

On Thursday at 9:08 a.m., a 71-year-old West Gresham Street man said somebody damaged his three TV’s.

 

The following persons were booked into the Sunflower County jail Jan. 28 to Feb. 5,

On Jan. 30 at 8:18 a.m., Selvin Steen, 43, 419 Adair Ave., was arrested and charged with burglary/auto burglary.

On Jan. 30 at 10:12 a.m., Randy Duane Young, 34, 637 Garrard Road was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and resisting arrest.

On Jan. 30 at 4:47 p.m., Clinton W. Ervin, 52, 227 West Davis Circle was arrested and charged with resisting arrest.

On Jan. 30 at 10:10 p.m., Devin M. Harris, 34, 227 Nancy Street, Drew was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.

On Friday at 2:44 p.m., Johnny Israel, 59, 604 Choctaw Circle was arrested and charged with domestic violence with injury.

On Friday at 4:47 p.m., Mitchell Thomas Green, 40, 638 South Main St., Greenville was arrested and charged with trespassing upon enclosed land of another.

On Saturday at 11 a.m., Reginald Redmond, 43, 119 Curtis St., was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace and contempt of court for violation of a protective order.

On Saturday at 3:12 p.m., Reginald Minniefield, 40, 909 Pershing Ave., was arrested and charged with simple assault on a police officer and public profanity.

On Sunday at 1:52 p.m., Sheldon Lee, 30, 1114 Bates Ave., was arrested and charged with contempt of court for violation of a protective order.

On Monday at 5:33 p.m., Roy Lee Cole III, 18, 705 Roosevelt St. was arrested and charged with grand larceny $1,000 or more and automobile burglary. He reportedly had his initial hearing on Tuesday before Judge Kurkendall Murry and his bond was set at $50,000 on each charge. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 5.

On Monday at 6:05 p.m. Mary Magdalene Wilson, 55, 110 Capshaw Drive was arrested and charged with contempt of Municipal Court.
