Cops and Robbers July 11, 2019
Indianola police made the following arrests,
On Sunday at 7:49 p.m., Diane Carter, 51, 411 Mimosa Drive, was arrested and charged with public drunkenness after officers were called to the 300 block of Mill Street about an unwanted person.
On Monday at 9:30 p.m., Joanne Wilson, 54, 308 Camellia Lane was arrested and charged with shoplifting after a Walmart employee said she stole $49 worth of clothing items.
On Sunday at 3:15 p.m., Kamilah Sophia Young, 41, 110 Stockyard Road, Sunflower was arrested and charged with shoplifting after a Walmart employee said she took $87.84 worth of items, put them in a shopping bag at the self-checkout and left the store without paying for the items.
On Thursday at 7:18 a.m., Jasmine Simone Brandon, 22, 127 North Davis Circle/603 Beaverdam Road was arrested and charged with contempt of court and giving false information to law enforcement officers. Also Lieika Franklin 20, 601 Pershing Ave./100 Hull Circle was arrested and charged with giving false information to a law enforcement officer. Kimberly Nevels 23, 100 Hull Circle was also arrested and charged with contempt of court and giving false information to a law enforcement officer after officers were called to the Delta Inn about a disturbance where the women were beating on a door. The women reportedly had outstanding warrants from Indianola police.
On Saturday at 6:59 p.m., Larry Gooden, 66, 707 Cox St., was arrested and charged with public intoxication after officers were called to the 200 block of North Walker Street about an unwanted person. The caller told officers that an unwanted person was outside of their home and intoxicated.
On June 29 at 2:29 p.m., Jeremiah Joe Fratesi, 42, 214 Virginia St., was arrested and charged with shoplifting after a Walmart employee said she saw him on video take and hide several items from the automotive department including a red Blazer sealed running board light and a pack of fuses.
On Sunday at 6:20 p.m., Robert Earl Price, 46, 503 Porter Drive/319 Mill St., was arrested and charged with domestic violence--simple assault after officers were called to Mill Street near the White Rose Cafe. A 51-year-old Mill Street woman is listed as the victim.

On Monday at 2:11 p.m., a 61-year-old Magnolia Drive man said that at sometime between 10 p.m. on July 1 and 10 a.m. on July 2, someone broke into his home and stole his wallet with an assortment of credit/debit cards and $50 cash, his cell phone, and the keys to his SUV.
On Monday at 1:36 p.m., a Barris Drive, Memphis man said someone had broken into the air vacuum machine at the Murphy USA store.
On Thursday at 12:48 a.m., a Slim Street man said two other men fired their weapons at him and another man while they were standing in the driveway of his home and hit the other man in the upper right thigh.
On Thursday at 5:13 p.m., a Love's Truck Stop employee said a 57-year-old Quiver Street, Ruleville man stole eight watches, valued at $80, out of the store, but later returned them.
On Friday at 2:26 p.m., a 22-year-old Leola Circle, Greenville man said someone hit his Dodge Challenger while it was parked in the parking lot at Walmart.
On July 3 at 9:36 p.m., after officers were called to the South Sunflower County Hospital, a 37-year-old Faisonia Plantation Road woman said a 21-year-old Slim Street man assaulted her.
On July 2 at 7:36 p.m., a Pershing Avenue man said someone broke into his home and stole cash, and several different food items.
On Monday at 12:48 p.m., a 22-year-old Church Street woman said a 29-year-old Garrard Avenue man assaulted her in the 300 block of Church Street.
On Thursday at 7:07 a.m., a 50-year-old Capshaw Street woman said someone broke into her 2007 Toyota Camry and stole $10 worth of coins.
On Friday at 2:08 p.m., a 20-year-old East Gresham Street woman and a 41-year-old East Gresham Street man said that when they were leaving Walmart a Beaverdam Road man and his girlfriend, whose name is unknown, got out of a car and assaulted them. The 20-year-old woman reportedly had a minor injury on her left arm and both wanted to press charges.
On Monday at 11:40 a.m., a 69-year old Bayou Drive man said someone broke into his storage shed and stole several items including a $100 hand blower.
On Thursday at 1:12 a.m., after officers were called to the 700 block of the street because of shots fired, a Coates Street woman said a stray bullet hit her. Officers found nine .40 caliber shell casings.
On Saturday at 9:55 a.m., the manager of Fred's department store said a 68-year-old Eastmoor Circle, Moorhead man came into the store, walked behind the counter and took a carton of L&M menthol cigarettes and a carton of Pall Mall original cigarettes totaling $99.30 and walked out of the store. The cashier, who was related to the man, told him to bring the items back and he brought the items back; however the manager stilled pressed shoplifting charges.
On Sunday at 2:28 p.m., a 26-year-old Easy Street woman said another woman damaged her 2004 Pontiac Grand Am.
On Sunday at 3:14 p.m., a 26-year-old Crane Street woman said another woman embezzled $710 from her.
On Friday at 12:37 p.m., an Indianola man said a 56-year-old East Herman Johnson Street man assaulted him in the 100 block of Wiggins Road.
On Thursday at 3:35 p.m., a 56-year-old Little Circle woman and a 52-year-old South Walker Circle woman said a 34-year-old Plantation Avenue man was trespassing and harassing them in the 600 block U.S. 82.
On July 2 at 6:28 a.m., a 45-year-old East Percy Street man said he believes someone was trying to break into his 2002 Isuzu Trooper on the night before because of the fingerprints on the windows. Officers processed the vehicle for prints and turned them in for evidence.
On Saturday at 11:42 a.m., a Walmart employee said someone submitted counterfeit $20 bills totaling $1,600 to several different cashiers at different times.

On July 3 at 6:05 p.m., Mario Kendalle Alford, 38, 1133 Thornton St., Greenville was arrested and charged with felony possession of a firearm, conspiracy and burglary of a commercial building.
On Saturday at 3:23 a.m., Selvin Steen, 43, 410 Hanna Ave., was arrested and charged with willful trespassing.
On Sunday at 11:13 p.m., David W. McKnight, 39, 1185 Speaks Road, Terry, Mississippi was arrested and charged with reckless driving, no/expired driver's license and failure to yield to blue lights.
