Cops and Robbers October 24, 2019

Indianola police made the following arrests,

On Monday at 7:37 p.m., Elbert Andrew Mathis 35, 182 Stoneville Road, Leland was arrested and charged with shoplifting after a Walmart employee said she saw him get two Ultra headlights, valued at $24, and a $6 CO2 cartridge and walk out of the store without paying for them.

On October 14 at 3:01 p.m., a 35-year-old Wiggins Road woman flagged down an officer near Front and West Percy streets and said it looked as if someone tried to burn the inside of her trunk.

On Sunday at 1:21 a.m., a 17-year-old Olive Street, Moorhead boy reported that an 18-year-old Patricia Drive man vandalized a 2014 Dodge Charger, owned by a 36-year-old Olive Street woman.

On Thursday at 10:01 a.m., a 46-year-old West Elmwood Circle woman said her son's old friend is making threats towards her daughter.

On Saturday at 3:31 p.m., a 38-year-old Oak Street man said a 43-year-old Davis Street, Inverness man, was threatening him.

On Thursday at 12:28 a.m., a 43-year-old Church Street man said a woman stole from him.

On Friday at 10:23 p.m., a man said a 23-year-old Aquarius Circle man shot a 36-year-old Janet Davis Circle man in a house on Front Street Ext., and Garrard Avenue. Leradric Kenotta-Kend Gardner, 23, 132 Aquarius Circle was subsequently arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

On Saturday at 12:08 a.m., a 62-year-old Roosevelt Street woman said someone was firing shots around her home.

On Friday at 6:22 p.m., a Walmart employee said a 19-year-old Sykes Park Drive, Jackson woman and an 18-year-old Teresa Drive, Jackson woman walked out of the store without paying for $79 worth of merchandise.

On Tuesday at 11:54 p.m., a 24-year-old Fountain Street woman said a 39-year-old Oklahoma Avenue woman vandalized her 2002 Chevrolet Impala.

On Thursday at 6:06 p.m., after officers were called to the emergency room at South Sunflower County Hospital, a George Baird Road man said a Roosevelt Street man assaulted him.

On October 16 at 5:53 a.m., a woman said someone broke into her convenience store on Garrard Avenue and took some money.

On October 16 at 3:04 p.m., a 33-year-old South Elmwood Circle woman said her husband, a 31-year-old Ethel Waters drive man, is threatening her.

On Friday at 3:39 p.m., a 51-year-old Birdsong Street man said a 31-year-old Barnes Street man assaulted him in the parking lot of J-Mack's store on the corner of Curtis Street and Garrard Avenue.

On Saturday at 2:08 p.m., a 41-year-old George Baird Road woman, driving a 2008 Hyundai Sonata and a 47-year-old Marie Avenue man, driving a 2003 Ford F-150 pickup, were involved in an accident on Elmwood Circle that reportedly resulted in damage.

On October 16 at 7:21 p.m., a 27-year-old West Union Street, Greenville woman said she found her stolen Apple iPhone, valued at $400, in the ECO ATM at Walmart.

On Friday at 9:16 a.m., a 31-year-old Ethel Waters Drive man said his wife, a 33-year-old North Elmwood Circle woman, threatened to hurt him.

On October 15 at 2:05 p.m., a 65-year-old Whittington Drive woman, driving a 2012 Jeep Laredo and a 20-year-old Butch Wilson Road, Hollandale woman, driving a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu, were involved in an accident in the Copper Creek Shopping Center near Domino's that resulted in damage, but no injuries.

On October 15 at 6:04 p.m., a 51-year-old Henry Rosser Drive woman said she hit a pole in the Walmart parking lot in her 2014 Buick LaCrosse.

On Monday at 5:05 a.m., a Quick Circle woman said someone broke into the Henry M. Seymour Library and damaged a glass door.

On Thursday at 6:13 p.m., a 33-year-old Cox Street woman said a 33-year-old South Elmwood Circle woman has been harassing and threatening her. She said the woman has been sending threatening text messages and saying that she was going to beat her, plus she has also been posting pictures and videos on social media that the woman said she sent to her boyfriend while they were together.

The following persons were booked into the Sunflower County jail October 15 to October 22,

On October 15 at 4:14 p.m., James Lee Hull II, 56, 200 Roosevelt St., was arrested and charged with shoplifting.

On October 15 at 5:48 p.m., Joey Dwayne Sibley, 28, 115 East Gibbs St., Greenwood was arrested and charged with statutory rape.

On October 16 at 8:48 a.m., David Earl McCaleb, 58, 408 Johnson St., was arrested and charged with probation violation and burglary of a commercial building.

On Friday at 5:32 a.m., Clyde Cordell Robinson, 33, 127 Fuggitt Circle was arrested and charged with trespassing upon enclosed land of another, simple assault—bodily injury and contempt of Municipal Court.

On Saturday at 10:11 a.m., Reginald Mickens, 51, 3 Sykes Acres, Sunflower was arrested and charged with burglary of a commercial building.

On Saturday at 8:01 p.m., Leradric Gardner, 23, 124 Torino Drive was arrested and charged with murder, simple assault—bodily injury, malicious mischief and carrying a concealed weapon.

On Sunday at 11:11 a.m., Marchello Quataz Beck, 37, 112 Penny Circle Lane, Apt-D, Sunflower was arrested and charged with public drunkenness, open container law violation, disorderly conduct—failure to obey officers and contempt of Municipal Court.
