Cops and Robbers September 5, 2019

Indianola police made the following arrests,

On August 28 at 11:46 a.m., Jeremy Jermaine Bradford, 34, 623 Garrard Ave., was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance after officers made a routine traffic stop, discovered he was not wearing a seat belt, had no insurance and reportedly had three grams of a green leafy substance reported to be marijuana that was seized.

On August 28 at 2:10 p.m., Elizabeth Kolanda Bowman Newell, 25, 506 West Edna North St., Isola was arrested and charged with shoplifting after a Walmart employee said she stole three DVD movies valued at $32.

On Saturday at 6:55 p.m., Pamela Letress Plain, 35, 118 Aquarius Circle and Eric Edwards, 34, 118 Aquarius Circle were arrested and charged with simple domestic violence after officers were called to their home and determined that they had physically assaulted each other during a disagreement.

On August 24 at 3:48 p.m., Jalexius Lamario James, 28, 639 Jefferson St., was arrested and charged with contempt of court and possession of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoids in a motor vehicle after police responded to gambling on Aquarius Circle and Bates streets. Officers reportedly seized marijuana and drug equipment.

On August 27 at 10:45 p.m., a 32-year-old Garrard Avenue woman said a 42-year-old Porter Drive man was creating a disturbance and was not wanted at her residence.

On Saturday at 12:38 a.m., a 40-year-old Birdsong Street woman said a 42-year-old Continental Cove man stole her purse with $1,100 in it out of her home.

On Friday at 10:50 p.m., a 97-year-old Walker Street woman said her son, a 56-year-old Walker Street man, came into the house and kicked in a bedroom door damaging the frame and she wants to press charges against him.

On Friday at 6:29 p.m., a 22-year-old Fairview Avenue, Greenville man said he left his wallet on a counter at J-Mack's on Curtis Street and someone named Derrick picked it up.

On Thursday at 6:22 p.m., a 28-year-old Moody Street woman said a 30-year-old Aquarius Circle man rambled through her 2006 American Jeep, but nothing was reported as stolen.

On Sunday at 9:35 a.m., a Roosevelt Street man said someone caused damaged to the Indianola Christian Church.

On July 30 at 5:11 p.m., a MS-448 woman, driving a 1997 Ford Crown Victoria, and a 26-year-old Lake Jackson Road, Chapman, Mississippi woman, driving a 2014 Lexus RX300 were involved in an accident on the Walmart parking lot where a moving vehicle ran into a parked vehicle. There was damage to the vehicles, but no reported injuries.

On Saturday at 2:22 p.m., a Birdsong Street woman said a 21-year-old Birch Road, Kenosha, Wisconsin woman was harassing her at the Quick Clean laundromat.

On Thursday at 8:41 a.m., a 56-year-old Walker Street woman said a 53-year-old Airport Road woman created a disturbance when she walked up to her with a knife at the Double Quick on Second Street.

On Friday at 4:48 p.m., a 31-year-old Percy Street woman said that, while she was waiting on US 49 at Main Street to make a turn onto Main Street, a 38-year-old Second Street, Inverness woman swerved as if she was going to hit her vehicle.

On Saturday at 1:01 p.m., a 77-year-old Cox Street man said someone stole 10 weed eaters worth $500 and a $155 auto jack.

On Saturday at 7:13 p.m., a 35-year-old South Elmwood Circle woman said someone committed fraud with her Epic debit card in the amount of $440.

On August 27 at 6:45 a.m., a 57-year-old South Davis Circle woman said someone broke into her storage shed and stole a $180 red Murray push mower.

On August 27 at 6:08 p.m., a 22-year-old Broadmoor Drive woman said someone scratched both sides of her 2018 Nissan Sentra.

On Friday at 7:55 p.m., a South Boulevard, Drew woman, driving a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu and a Chandler Street woman, driving a 2002 Honda Accord were involved in a two-vehicle accident in the 600 block of Roosevelt Street, but no injuries were reported.

The following persons were booked into the Sunflower County jail August 27 to September 3,

On Thursday at 3:01 p.m., Tyredius Terrell Woods, 23, 119 West Herman Johnson St., was arrested and charged with no proof of liability insurance and no/expired driver's license.

On Friday at 8:56 a.m., William May, 36, 100 Barnes St., was arrested and charged with domestic violence—simple assault.

On Saturday at 11:44 p.m., Willie Standford, 44, 305 Hood St., was arrested and charged with no/expired driver's license and DUI (first offense).

On Sunday at 2:05 p.m., Nelson Lee, 56, 230 East Herman Johnson St., was arrested and charged with simple assault.
