Workers with Pee Wee Jr.’s Welding Inc. were busy on Tuesday installing the new custom-made guardrails for the courthouse ramp. Thornton “Shug” Peterson, owner, said he designed and fashioned the rails himself. He and his crew were painting and installing the safety restraints on the newly constructed handicap ramp erected by county maintenance director Daniel Kent and his crew. The courthouse, which was reconstructed in the early to mid 1960’s has reportedly never had an access ramp at the main entrance.
