The NeighborhoodLift program will be holding a community workshop in Moorhead next week for new homebuyers.
The Oct. 23 event will take place at 6 p.m. at The Community House, across from the Police Department, according to a release issued this week.
The new homebuyer program, which is operated through Wells Fargo, offers a $7,500 grant for a home down payment for those who qualify.
Those who qualify as military veterans, surviving spouse, law enforcement, firefighter, emergency medical technician or teacher could receive an additional $2,500, according to a handout from NeighborhoodLift.
To be eligible, total income cannot be more than 80 percent of the area median income and 100 percent of the area median income for military members.
The event is open to anyone who lives in the state.
