There are a lot of exciting things happening at the B.B. King Museum & Delta Interpretive Center. Malika Polk-Lee, the museum’s executive director and Robert Terrell recently spoke to the Indianola Rotary Club about the spring schedule, which will culminate with the B.B. King Homecoming Festival on June. 1.
The long-awaited expansion at the museum should get underway this spring as well. The groundbreaking has been delayed a number of times, but Polk-Lee said they are shooting for May to break ground on the multi-million dollar project that will bring new exhibit space, along with King’s autombiles that are in the museum’s possession.
The Homecoming Festival will be headlined by Mr. Sipp this year. He performed at the 2018 festival. There’s much more about the lineup and the festival on Page 2.
