Ruleville Roast canceled for 2020
COVID-19 has claimed another recreational event in 2020.
The Great Ruleville Roast & Run has been canceled, according to event coordinators.
The uncertainty of future social gathering restrictions was cited as the chief reason for the cancellation.
The event is usually held in late September in Ruleville and features a number of components that draw hundreds each year, including the barbeque competition, dozens of vendors, music and more.
“Over the last 15 years, The Great Ruleville Roast & Run has grown by leaps and bounds due to our loyal sponsors, competitors, patrons, volunteers and community,” the Ruleville Chamber Board of Directors said in a statement last week. “Many thanks to all for our past successes and we look forward to bringing back The Great Ruleville Roast & Run in 2021.”
