It’s time city leaders and individuals alike to start taking stock in their city and its appearance, says Indianola Chamber Main Street. The organziation hosted a leadership conference last Wednesday, feturing Jeff McManus (pictured above), director of landscaping services at the University of Mississippi. McManus spoke with city workers and city leaders during the two-session event, which boasted about 170 in attendance, organizers said. The event focused on strategies to build our current city workers, citizens and corporate citizens into leaders, the same strategies McManus used to transform Ole Miss into one of the cleanest and nicest college campuses in the country. The Chamber recently launched the Slam Dunk the Junk campaign to help curb litter in the city.
