Join us for Snapshot Day! Make Plans to show your support of your public library on August 25, 2020! Get your photo taken curbside and share why you love your public library. This year’s theme is “A Day in The Lives of Mississippi Libraries.”
Participate in "The Great Prenda Code Challenge" for 2020. Kids can sign up and work on building an awesome coding project all summer. At the end of the summer, projects will be evaluated, and prizes awarded to the top projects around the country. To get started, log onto the Sunflower County Library System's website (www.sunflower.lib.ms.us/sunflower/about.asp) to access Prenda's URLs. They are located on the Web Links page under the Children’s Sites section. Let’s create something awesome!
Do you like solving Jigsaw Puzzles? Doing jigsaw puzzles reinforces connections between brain cells, improves mental speed and is an especially effective way to improve short-term memory. Log onto the Henry M. Seymour Library Facebook page on Tuesdays and Thursdays for your Virtual Jigsaw Puzzle.
“Grab and Go” craft and activity bags can be picked up bi-monthly at any branch of the Sunflower County Library System. Please call the branch nearest you for availability.
September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month. Make the best use of your local library by getting a library card. All you need is your photo I. D. and proof of your mailing address. It’s that simple! During September, have your overdue fines erased and your lost library card replaced for free. For library patrons this is also a great time to come by the library and update your account information so the library can better serve you.
Join us for Virtual Storytime and “It’s Craft Time.” Log onto the “Fans of the Sunflower County Library System” Facebook Group and/or “Sunflower County Library” YouTube Channel to be a part of our Virtual Experience.
All programs are free and open to the public. Social distancing measures are in place at all library branches. Please remember to be kind to others and wear a face mask.
