Rome citizen and activist Evelyn Washington and a group of donors commemorated Veterans Day last week by handing out safety supplies like hand sanitizer, masks and disinfectant spray to senior citizens in Rome. Some senior citizens who were unable to make it out to the event had supplies delivered to their homes, Washington said.
