Annie Mae Williams made her final transition of life on Dec. 23, 2019 in Detroit. She was born April 26, 1926 in Indianola to Eliza Boyd and Jessie Pearson. She was the oldest of eight children.
She married Earnest Hearon and to this union twin daughters, Mary and Martha, were born. She later moved to Chicago to live with her aunt, Susie Boyd. She married James Williams and they had five daughters, Bessie, Renee, Betty Ann, Doris and Glen.
Annie loved to sing in church with the congregation and enjoyed cooking, especially turnip and mustard greens. She was a homemaker and was happiest spending time with her children. Her mind was very sharp until the end and she loved to talk and laugh at stories of the past. Annie wanted to be around people all the time and was known to share her likes and dislikes. She will be missed and forever loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Roosevelt Pearson and Edgar Pearson; sister, Posia Lee Anderson; daughters, Doris and Glen; and granddaughter, Jackie McGee.
She leaves to treasure her memory her brothers, Willie B. Pearson of Indianola, Charles Pearson of Chicago and Jimmy Pearson of Detroit; a sister, Thurma Lee Barnes of Detroit; daughters, Mary Hearon Gray of East Point, Mich., Martha Hearon McGee of Indianola, and Bessie Boyd, Renee Boyd and Betty Ann Boyd, all of Chicago; one step-daughter, Catherine Hearon of Detroit; eight grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
