Jimmy Ross Hunt

Services for Jimmy Ross Hunt, of Parchman, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ruleville Baptist Church in Ruleville. 

Mr. Hunt, age 49, died Monday, Sept. 30, 2019 at North Sunflower Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 23, 1970 in Ruleville, to Ross and Nancy Jane Gibson Hunt. Jim enjoyed racing, hunting and fishing. He was a retired investigator for C. I. D.

Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Jane Hunt.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Tracie Ann Phillips Hunt of Parchman; one son, Cody Hunt of Parchman; one daughter, Tiffany (Daniel) Benton of Florence; his father, Ross Hunt, and step-mother, Elizabeth Hunt of Ruleville; one sister, Lisa (Keith) McNeese of Brandon; one step-sister, Pam (Maury) Eubanks of Ruleville; one step-brother, Jay (Ashley) Murphree of Jonesboro, Ark.; a granddaughter on the way, Neely Ann Benton; and numerous nieces and nephews.   

Visitation will be held from 12 noon until service time at the church. The Rev. Robert Haney will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be Kenny Scott, Kelly Davidson, Anderson Johnson, Michael Nelson, Johnny Rogers, and Derick Sanders. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ricky Scott, Robert Dale Hunt, and Rudy Davidson. Burial will follow in Lehrton Cemetery.
