Lavonne Modley-Brown

Services for Lavonne Modley-Brown of Indianola will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bell Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Modley-Brown, 68, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, with a family hour from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., at Byas Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Gardens.

Pastor Richard Jenkins will officiate at the services.

Mrs. Modley-Brown is survived by one daughter, Komiko Brown of Indianola; four sons, Chevelle (Diana) Brown and Shannon (Genna) Brown, both of Indianola, Jerome (Rosalind) Brown of Bristol, Conn. and Terry (Kimberly) Brown of Fayetteville, Ga.; four sisters, Catherine Hollins and Dr. Lorene Stewart, both of Chicago, Minister Thelma Davis of Florissant, Mo. and Ann Shirley May of Indianola; four brothers, Elder Marion Modley and Jimmy Modley, both of Indianola, Roy Thompson of Alabama and Charles Thompson of Saginaw, Mich.; 20 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
