Lawrence Earl Milan, 72, of Leland, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Sharkey Issaquena Nursing Home in Rolling Fork.
Lawrence was born Aug. 11, 1948 in Pace, to Elbert Charles Milan and Estelle Anne Sisson Milan. He enjoyed hunting andfishing, and was a very hard worker. Lawrence thought everyone always needed to be working on something. He was a mechanic at USG for 38 years prior to his retirement in 2006.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jerry Milan; and nine siblings.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Linda Matthews Milan of Leland; three children, Jr. (Mona) Milan of Leland, Ranee(Heath) Manning of Leland and Tammy (Dylan) Davidson of Panama City, Fla.; three sisters, Brenda McGaugh and Linda Roach, both of Mendenhall, and Nora White of Jackson; and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 noonMonday, June 14 at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at Leland-Stoneville Cemetery in Stoneville with the Rev. Jon Doler officiating.
