If you’re like most people, you don’t recognize the name Gina Raimondo. George Will, a conservative columnist for The Washington Post, thinks that Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden should recognize her most of all.
The Mississippi State Department of Health may soon be releasing the names of nursing homes related to some COVID-19 deaths and cases, that is unless they appeal a Hinds County judge’s Tuesday ruling in favor of Hattiesburg newspaper The PineBelt NEWS.
When people are desperate, they are more inclined to do dumb things. To Mississippi’s credit, it avoided that trap when it went shopping for personal protective equipment in the early days of the COVID-19 outbreak.
I am writing because a voice awaken me saying write and tell what happened here at our house on that Sunday afternoon in September, 2018 to my son, Johnel White. People have said what they think happen but it wasn’t anyone else here but the three of us.

I remember the first COVID-19 day, kind of. It was surreal and governors across America shut down their states. Some sooner than others, some with far reaching power that gets folks’ attention. And not always for the good. I work at home so being sequestered didn’t seem to be that big of deal to me.

The disrespectful action of women in the United States Senate this past Tuesday is a forerunner of what they will do if given the right to vote. They abuse the privilege of their sex.
Are the concrete chicken, big urn, and home-made toadstools in my garden antiques, heirlooms, or just old? Not too many folks get bogged down in semantics, but there are subtle differences in those terms.
As we come off celebrating Mother’s Day, ensure that you tell your mother you love her and appreciate everything she has ever done for you.
For those of us that only have memories of our mom, rejoice in the great times you had together on earth and look forward to the time of being reunited with her again in heaven.
