We experience God’s grace each dayBy BY GARY ANDREWS GARY@GADEVOTIONALS.COM,
Whether we realize it or not God blesses us each and every day. Many of us say how does He bless us on a day that is really bad for me and I seem to have no idea which direction to go? All of us are going to have days like this and it doesn’t matter which phase of life we are in.
Each day that you wake up should be an indication that the Lord has blessed you with another day of life. He doesn’t promise you the day will be great, but He will guide you through it if you allow Him to. Many prosperity gospel preachers will guide you in a direction that the Lord wants you to have a great day every day and this is simply not true.
All one must do is read the book of Job in the Old Testament. Job was God’s man, yet God allowed Satan to ruin Job’s life. He took his possessions, his family, and created much turmoil for him, yet the only thing God would not allow Satan to do was to take the life of Job. Job never lost his faith in God and the Lord took care of him.
God promises us to bring good from the problems we face in our lives. He reminds us there is gain when we face painful or tough times even though it is difficult for us. He didn’t promise life would be easy, but we should learn to grow from our difficult times. I have never met anyone that wants to have hard times, suffering, rejection, or pain. I believe these are a part of life and most of us are going to experience these trials. I also believe that if we keep our eyes on the Lord, He will guide us through these times and bring us through them.
We are told in 1 Peter 4:12-13; “Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.”
God can take something that is devastating to us and turn it around. Just as He did for Job, God remains in control and all He asks is that we accept Him into our heart and believe in His Word to guide us. What we may think is very troublesome to us, we need to remember what Christ went through for us. God can take our struggles and turn them into blessings if we believe in Him and accept Him at His Word.
God never promised us this life would be easy. He did promise that He is bigger than any difficulty or problem that comes into our life. Jesus tells us in John 16:33 that we will have troubles but to take heart because He has overcome the world.
God blesses us every day even though we may face uncertainties. We who have accepted Jesus as our Savior and Lord know that this time on earth is short but our life with Jesus in Heaven is for eternity.
