The Board of Directors of the Mississippi Wildlife Heritage Museum is pleased to announce the 2025 Hall of Fame inductees:
The Induction Ceremony will be held at the Wildlife Museum in Leland, Mississippi on June 7.
It will begin with a Meet and Greet from 3-5 p.m. followed by a Reception and the Induction Ceremony starting at 6 p.m.
This years inductees are:
Bubba Baird of Indianola was a lifelong Delta sportsman who put a lot into his hunting and fishing endeavors. He and his son, Bill, and friend, Roy Stubbs, spent decades hunting and fishing on the Mississippi River islands.
Steve Brown of Starkville spent five decades in pursuit of wild turkeys. He has been a professional guide for 40 years guiding celebrities, professional athletes and dedicated sportsmen. He also owns and operates Brown Outfitters.
Tim Byrd of Hernando was introduced to hunting in the early 1970’s at the age of 7 with his father. He hunted ducks, squirrels, rabbits and quail in those early years. In 2019, he became the first hunter in Mississippi to accomplish the coveted US Super Slam.
Chuck Cage of Hollandale is one of our state’s most well known and well respected water fowl hunters. A notoriously tough duck hunting guide for over 40 years he believes in scouting a lot and calling a little.
He has mentored generations of young hunters with the theory if you have to call a lot you’re in the wrong spot.
Ramsey Russell of Greenville has become a globally recognized figure in waterfowl hunting, conservation and outdoor story telling. His journey from the Mississippi Delta and beyond is a testament to his resilience, passion and an unwavering commitment to the outdoors.
Roy Stubbs of Indianola has spent his life on the Delta rivers and in the woods on the Mississippi River islands.
He and his family and friends enjoy hunting and fishing and cooking their harvest.
The public is invited to attend.
