Thursday is alright but Wednesdays make a big difference. The attendance at the Senior Citizen Bingo Buddies’ therapy games was quite low this week even with our two visitors in the building. There were several gifts, but Thursday is not Wednesday.
The Buddies have been in operation for over four years and the therapeutic games have always been on Wednesdays. Doctor’s appointments and all others appointments are scheduled on any day except Wednesday, but this week we have learned a big lesson about changing our regular therapeutic day.
We had our weekly “L” special as usual, we had an “F” special, and we even had two winners for the “E” special, but Thursday is not Wednesday. There were 14 of our Buddies absent today even though they had said that changing to Thursday would be “just fine.” Due to other scheduled obligations, which has NEVER happened since 2020, they just couldn’t rearrange their schedules.
Again I say – Thursday is not Wednesday. So, if it’s God’s will, we’ll see you next Wednesday, Bingo Buddies.
