Dorothy Minton of the Senior Citizen Bingo Buddies was the big winner of the cookware set given away last week, which surprised her since her day had started off so badly. She first misplaced her car keys and had to walk to the bingo game site, and then she slept during a bingo game! But it all paid off when her number was called and she won the cookware set. The set was donated by the community health advocate.
Dorothy, along with all the Bingo Buddies, participated in the “Go Red” event by wearing red to prevent heart disease. Anna Toler from the Mississippi State University Extension Service demonstrated how to eat healthy by preparing a delicious broccoli salad. Congratulations Dorothy, thank you community health advocate, and great job Anna Toler!
