Indianola natives A'Davion D. Bush and Tyren M. Boyd Jr. have been officially initiated into the Nu Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. at the University of Mississippi. Their induction marks a proud milestone, not only for their hometown but also for their alma mater.
Bush and Boyd hold the distinct honor of being the first members of the Gentry High School Class of 2023 to be initiated into a Greek-lettered organization. Their achievement highlights a continued legacy of excellence, leadership, and service rooted in the values instilled during their time in Indianola.
As newly initiated brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. — the first intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established for African American men — Bush and Boyd are now part of a historic brotherhood committed to scholarship, service and advocacy.
