Services for Calvin “Hood” Young of Indianola will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Missionary Baptist Church, Indianola. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Young, 59, died Thursday, March 9, 2023.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Byas Funeral Home, Indianola, which is in charge of arrangements.
The Rev. Clifford Wilson will officiate.
Mr. Young is survived by: his mother, Johnnie Mae Brown; one son, Rodney Curry; 12 sisters, Stephanie Short, Janice Armstrong, Janet Gibson, Bettye Davis, Alberta Johnson, Denise Hearon, Dorothy Coleman, Annie Brooks, Belinda Young, Shirley Young, Amanda Jones and Barbara Lynn; five brothers, Clyde Brown, William Young Jr., Bobby Williams, Albert Lynn and Narleski Young; a god-brother, Calvin Dorsey; six grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
