As the municipal elections approach, political activity is ramping up across Sunflower County.
The qualifying deadline for five municipal elections passed two weeks ago.
Indianola’s qualifying deadline is Aug. 15.
All other municipalities will have their primary elections on April 1, primary runoffs on April 22 and general election on June 3 and new terms begin on July 1.
Indianola’s primary will be October 14, 2025.
With a mix of unopposed candidates and competitive races, voters are gearing up to make their voices heard.
