CHURCH HISTORIES REQUESTED
The Sunflower County Library System’s History and Archives department is developing a collection of local church history. The pages of Scripture are filled with the history of God’s holy people, and because of the work of those who recorded it, that history was not lost, and we today can benefit from it. The Henry M. Seymour Library in Indianola is embarking on a project to collect and record church histories from around Sunflower County. If your church has a compiled church history, please let us know! If you would like help compiling a history for your church, please let us know! We believe there is a rich history in Sunflower County churches, and we want it to be preserved for future generations. If you have questions or comments, please contact Richard Pollard, Public History Coordinator at the library, by email (rpollard@sunflower.lib.ms.us) or by phone (662-445-1624).
