With their first win of the season now earned, the Indianola Academy Colonels are looking forward to a steady stream of non-district baseball games.
However, since last Thursday’s 12-9 road victory over Manchester Academy in Yazoo City, the 1-2 Colonels’ playing efforts have been hampered by wet field conditions.
A pair of road games against defending state champion Tri-County was canceled on Thursday afternoon.
This came after a week of rain and some winter weather on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, future IA baseball action is scheduled to occur next Tuesday when the Colonels travel to Louisville to take on the Patriots of Winston Academy.
Baseball competition returns to the IA field next Thursday when the Colonels compete once again with Tri-County Academy.
All varsity games are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
