Good Mornin’! Good Mornin’!
It’s December 1 st and time for Gene to let it all hang loose with Rudolph and the boys. I’ve
never been one to start Christmas early. I want Thanksgiving to get its due and I try to keep
a fence around it all and try not to let any Christmas songs get in the stall too early. But it’s
time. Let the spirit and the songs and the celebration of Jesus’ birthday commence.
I reckon we should talk gifts. A nice pump in the South Delta would be tops on my list if that
District Two Santa Claus is perhaps perusing this list. Oh, and hopefully the shiny, brand
new Executive Director of the Sunflower County Economic Development District will
unwrap plenty of Hanukah gifts for Sunflower County throughout the new year. New
development anywhere in the county would be a great boost for roads, schools and other
infrastructure. Let’s keep him stocked up with plenty of menorah candles.
But what about those closer to home? Gift ideas can be tough but never fear, I’ve dusted off
my google skills and found a Santa load of creative gifts for those hard to please. First off,
with so many folks enjoying the great outdoors from hunting and fishing and hiking and
camping – how about a Starscope? This durable yet light weight and waterproof looking
monocular allows users to see clearly miles ahead. Oh, and you can easily put your camera
phone on it and snap some creative shots. Check it out at https://shopcosmicscope.com. It
runs about $55.
These days folks are drone crazy. Let’s add this $99 Black Bird 4K Drone. Foldable and
lightweight and just what the kids need on Christmas morning to keep them out of your
hair and into the neighbor’s yard for hours on end. I have no idea how durable or
bulletproof it might be. Get an up close and personal look here,
https://sale.blackbird4k.com.
How about a neat safety device? If you’re not sure about plunking down Benjamins for a
Ring doorbell or something similar, try “lighting” up your security with a Secure Cam. It
screws into a regular outside light socket and rotates to watch possible intruders and
guests. It records in High Definition and you can run it through your high IQ phone. It even
has night vision capabilities. Check it out here: https://shopsafecam360.com.
I don’t have a smartwatch. I have to stare at mine and figure out the time but for only $49
the Kore 2.0 can be yours this holiday season. It’s sleek and I guess fashionable – as
smartwatches go. The ad says it’s good for seniors as it can measure your heart rate, blood
oxygen your heartbeat and temperature – all live and in real time. Sure hope it has a huge
display then. Here you go, https://www.buykorewatch.com.
Oh, and how about the Everlyte Headlamp? This “hands free” device looks like an upgrade
from a Bill Tinnin wheat light for coon hunting. This headlamp lights up the front and sides
of what you need to see as far as 100 meters or 300 feet in American speak. And there’s five
lighting modes. Camping, cyclist and coon hunters can all hold hands and enjoy this leap of
technology to explore their paths for only $100. Check it out at
https://sale.topeverlyte.com. I’ll keep scoping the world wide web for more creative toys
and gifts for y’all. Until then, hit it, Mr. Gene and let’s celebrate Jesus’ Birthday!
