Wreaths Across America is this Saturday at 11 a.m.
The annual event honoring veterans who have passed on since their service to our country will take place at Indianola City Cemetery.
The event happens simultaneously each year at 12 p.m. eastern time.
Over 450 wreaths will be placed at the cemetery this year.
The cost of wreaths is $15 each. Anyone wishing to donate toward next year’s ceremony can contact Joe Forrester at 717-881-7357.
Saturday’s event will start with a short ceremony, and then each volunteer will go to a marked veteran’s grave, read their marker, and place the wreath.
Family members of the veterans are allowed to place their wreaths first.
Active-duty military from all branches are invited to attend and take part in the event.
