Annual Springfest
The Dorothy I. Height Quad Counties Section of the National Council of Negro Women has organized a Springfest for children in grades K-12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY, MAR. 14, at Mount Beulah Baptist Church in Indianola. There will be plenty of food and activities for everyone to enjoy! Parents are encouraged to attend and bring their children to this annual celebration.

Our House, Inc. will hold its monthly Safe Online Space (SOS) Healing Conversation from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. MONDAY, MAR. 16. SOS is an anonymous and secure online support space for sexual assault victims/survivors in the Mississippi Delta area. Annual Green and
White Day
The Sunflower County Mississippi Valley State Alumni Association will present its Annual Green and White Day at 3 o’clock in the afternoon on SUNDAY, APR. 19, at Mount Beulah M.B. Church, 310 Church Street, Indianola. The theme is “Staying Green and Preserving the Valley.” Proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to provide scholarships to deserving students who will attend the “Valley” and support other local programs. The speaker for this special occasion is Dr. Alecia Shield-Garson, athletic director at MVSU.
Annual Mothers and Daughters Luncheon
The Dorothy I. Heights Quad Counties Section of the National Council of Negro Women, serving Bolivar, Leflore, Sunflower and Washington counties, announces their annual Mothers and Daughters Luncheon to take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY, APR. 25. This year’s event, with the motto “TEAM! Together Everyone Achieves More,” will be held at United Family Life Center, 1101 South Dr. MLK Jr. Drive, Cleveland. The doors will open at 10:30 a.m. for punctual arrival. $35 admission and professional attire are requested.
Social & Civic Club Fundraiser
Les Jolies Dames de Charme Social & Civic Club plans a Social & Civic Club event, Love, Laugh & Mingle: A Dating Game Fundraiser, with the motto, “Touch Lives: Make a Difference,” from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. SATURDAY, MAY 2, at the National Guard Armory, 15 Terminal Rd., Indianola. The $40/couples and $25/singles monies raised will go toward scholarships for deserving high school students in Sunflower and Washington counties. Tickets may be purchased from a club member or at the door. There will be modeling, dancing, and light refreshments.
