Food Safety Course
The ServSafe Food Safety Course will be offered in Indianola starting at 7:30 a.m Tuesday, Aug. 29. The class will be held at the Sunflower County Consolidated School District Central Office on U.S. 49. Cost is $140 per person. Space is limited; deadline to register is Aug. 18. If you have any questions or want to obtain registration information, please contact Ann Twiner, MSU-Extension Agent, at 887- 1901. Don’t put your food service businesses in jeopardy by waiting to become ServSafe certified.
Tutoring Program
Trinity Outreach Ministry will be providing a Reading and Math tutoring program from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. every Wednesday and Thursday starting August 23 and 24 to support our schools in the community. Believing that the church plays an important role in uplifting our children to reach their highest potential to excel, math and reading tutoring services need to be provided.

Ram Alumni Homecoming Committee
Ram Alumni Homecoming Committee will begin their weekly meetings to discuss plans for 2017 Homecoming, at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 23.The committee is asking at least 3 respresentatives from each graduating class from Gentry High attend each weekly meeting.
Parental Engagement Involvement Meeting
Jobs for MS Graduates classes at Ruleville Central High School/Gentry High School will host Parental Engagement Involvement Meeting Night #2 at 6 p.m. August 24. Door prizes and light refreshments will be provided. The public is invited to be in attendance.

South Sunflower Hospital Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
South Sunflower County Hospital invites the public to its open house and ribbon cutting ceremony at the newly renovated facility. B.B. King Museum
