Celebration
Sunflower Humphreys Counties Progress, Inc is hosting its Community Celebration from 10:00 am til 12 noon today. The event will be hosted at 414 MLK Drive. SHCPI's celebration is designed to show appreciation to our community and provide education on all the services the agency provides in our area. There will be engaging brief presentations, staff recognition, great food, raffle prizes, and live music. They are looking forward to the community coming out and having a great day. This event is free and open to the public.
Community Yoga
Community Yoga at the museum will be from 11- 12 p.m. tomorrow. Please bring a towel, mat and a bottle of water.
Free Clothing
Give-A-Way
Word of Life Church of God in Christ is sponsoring a free clothing giveaway at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church which is located at 1108 Third Avenue. They ask that clothes be taken for personal or family use only – not for resale. Call 662-887-1513 for more info.

Gentry High School Class of 1985 will meet at 5 p.m. Sunday at Pizza Hut. Please be on time! Also bring some possible destinations for the 35th reunion next year.

Be Smart: Control Your Diabetes
“Be Smart! Control Your Diabetes” healthcare initiative, sponsored by. Mississippi Association of Diabetes, Mississippi State Extension Service, and Sunflower County Diabetes Support Group, will take place from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 27 at the Barksdale Cotton Gin in the BB King Museum.
Class of ‘79
The 1979 class of Gentry High School is celebrating their 40th class reunion July 5-7 in Dallas, Texas. A weekend of fun activities is scheduled, including an “All White Throwback Boat Party!” This is an open invitation to all Gentry alumni from the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s to attend and renew old friendships and share old memories with the class of ‘79. Sunflower County Consolidated School District summer work schedule will be Monday-Thursday 7:30-6:30pm. These hours are in effect until July 8.
