Luncheon Gathering
Mission Mississippi creates a space where Christians can gather in a spirit of unity and peace. We welcome you to join us for our monthly luncheon gathering from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. today at Christ United Methodist Church, 221 Elaine Street.
B.B. King Museum
The B.B. King Museum will be hosting its monthly “Be Smart! Control Your Diabetes” seminar at noon today. This month’s presentation will be on meditation. Presentation and demonstration will be lead by Martha Catlette, PhD, PHMNP-BC. For more information contact Kiana Butler at (662) 887-9539.
SCCSD Monthly Board Meeting
Sunflower County Consolidated School District November Board Meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. tonight at the Indianola Central Office, Hwy49 N 196 MLK Jr. Road.
Retired Education Personel
The Retired Education Personnel of Sunflower County will meet at 1 p.m. tomorrow in the Henry Seymour Library. All retirees are invited to attend.
Luncheon for Senior
Citizens
The members of the Moorhead Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a luncheon for senior citizens at 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The event will take place at the City of Moorhead Community Building. All senior citizens are welcome to attend.

Purity Power
TeamPositive Ministries presents Purity Power at 2 p.m. November 25 at Scout Hut, Main Street Extended. This event will be about Sexual Purity 101: What it is and why the choice is so important with Minister Philander Williams. There will be a fashion show and more. MVSU Alumni Annual Scholarship Dance
The Sunflower County Mississippi Valley State Alumni Association will have their Annual Scholarship Dance at 8 p.m. Saturday, November 25. Admission is $10.00. This event will be held at St. Benedict the Moor Center, 403 Church Street. This benefit will help deserving students attending Mississippi Valley State University. This event is open to the public. Individuals that would like tickets may contact any member of the Sunflower County Alumni Association.
MSU Extension Service
nSunflower Stitchers: Meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Extension Office. Call the office for more information if you are interested in joining. Be sure to come and visit the Sunflower Stitchers at the Delta Holiday Marketplace at the Indianola Country Club today and purchase their handmade items. All proceeds will go to The Humane Society.
nDue to the Holiday season, the Diabetic Support Group will meet today and December 14th. A lunch is served along with an educational component to help you better understand and manage your diabetes.
nMeditation class will be held at 5:15 p.m. December 5th and 12th at the Extension Office. Please call the office to register for this class at 887-1901. December 5th class will cover the 4 qualities of our transpersonal nature and the December 12th class will allow participants to engage in group meditation and imagery practices for accessing inner wisodm.

nFrom November 13-22, stop by the Drew and Ruleville Public Libraries and write on a leaf for what you are most thankful!
nMeet a book buddy with the Sunflower County Freedom Project at Henry M. Seymour Library from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. November 27. These volunteers will be available to read to children who visit the library.
nWhat happens when you give a kid a cupcake? Find out at the Henry M. Seymour Library from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. November 30.
nMeet Llama Llama and other book characters from 10 a.m. to 11:30 am. at the Henry M. Seymour Library on December 2.
nChristmas Snack Bingo games for teens will be at the Drew Library from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. December 6 and December 7 at the Ruleville Library.
nCreate healthy habits at the Henry M. Seymour Library at 6:00 p.m. Tuesdays by stretching it out with yoga.
