Gentry High School Graduates Awareness March
A post-homecoming “Awareness March” has been scheduled for 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday. The purpose of this march is to draw attention the the Indianola Municipal Election scheduled for Tuesday, October 10 to encourage the citizens of Indianola to vote. The march will begin on Front Street across from the courthouse and end at the Bethune Center. Everyone is invited to participate. Food Box Pickup
The Sunflower County Bill Richardson Civic Alliance Group will issue food boxes Monday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. to those certified to receive food boxes. Boxes not picked up by 12:15 Tuesday will be issued from 12:15 to 1 to persons on the waiting list. The group does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability (not all prohibited bases apply to all programs).

Attention Ruleville High School graduates! Every month for the past 20 years, some of us have been meeting, eating lunch and talking about old times. We meet at River Road on Hwy 49 S., Ruleville at 11 a.m. every 3rd Thursday of the month. Come join us.
Friends of the Library
Friends of the Henry M. Seymour Library will be hosting a birthday party at 6:00 p.m. October 16th to celebrate National Friends of Libraries Week at the library. There will be cake, punch, and story time as well as a membership drive. Fun for adults and children.
