Indianola police made the following arrest during the week of August 7 to August 13,
On August 7 at 8:59 p.m., John Royal Johnson, 39, 114 Janet Davis Circle was arrested and charged with three counts of contempt of court, trespassing after a warning and disorderly conduct (failure to comply with the police). A 40-year-old Janet Davis Circle woman said that Johnson has been back onto her property after police officers warned him, on July 31, not to come back. Reportedly, on August 7, around 8:41 p.m., the woman let her dog out and noticed Johnson standing outside in his driveway in the shadows behind his vehicle. When she went back inside of her home, she spotted Johnson on her surveillance cameras standing on her porch, talking at her front living room window and hitting the bars on her front door. Johnson also allegedly admitted to police that he was on the woman's property and that he was “trying to shoot his shot at her.” As a result, he was arrested and charged.

On August 7 at 5:19 a.m., a West Percy Street man said that a large tree had fallen on his property and damaged his 1994 Chevrolet utility truck and his 1979 Ford Step food truck.
On August 7 at 9:07 a.m., an Airport Road woman said that her half sister came to her home and took their deceased father's vehicle from its parking space. She said their father passed away in March of 2024 and since that time the half sister has drawn up fake documents in their father's name claiming that she has power of attorney and that she is now over his property. An East Percy Street woman is named in the report for unspecified reasons.
On August 7 at 8:10 a.m., a 53-year-old Alden Lane, Greenville man said that someone broke into a 2001 Mazda 626 and a 2014 Ford van in the 100 block of Second Street and stole a pair of work boots from the back seat. The van is the property of MedStat and reportedly nothing was missing; however, everything inside was trashed.
On August 7 at 12:02 p.m., an East Herman Johnson Street woman said that her son, a 26-year-old East Herman Johnson Street man, stole her keys to her house on August 5 and has not returned them. The woman also said that when she left home earlier in the day her printer was at her house, but when she came back the printer, an HP scanner valued at $400, and her ink were gone.
On August 8 at 8:11 a.m., a Wiggins Road man said that his neighbor's cats are scratching up his pickup truck and that it is not the first time the cats have damaged one of his vehicles. He said that when he came outside, the neighbor's cat had jumped on to his 2023 Nissan Frontier and damaged the front driver's side fender and that cat paw prints were on the hood and top of his vehicle. Upon making contact with the neighbor, the officers were informed that the cats do not belong to them, but they do feed them. The neighbor also said that they have called the humane shelter about the cats and was charged $35 for a cat trap to be set up. The humane shelter supervisor was reportedly contacted and told officers that the shelter would set up the traps to catch the cats.
On August 8 at 8:56 a.m., a 59-year-old West Davis Circle man said he was assaulted by his stepson. He said the stepson hit him in his left eye and kicked him in the stomach after he had fallen to the floor.
On August 8 at 9:18 a.m., a 27-year-old Oak Street man said that his sister, a 29-year-old Patricia Drive woman, pulled a gun on him after a verbal argument, allegedly about money that she owes him.
On August 9 at 8:56 a.m., a 24-year-old Quick Circle woman said that her children's father, a 28-year-old Slim Street man, assaulted her. She said the man had called her several times and she told him not to come to her apartment, but he showed up while she was outside and when she got up to go inside he followed her. He then reportedly pulled her braids and hit her in the face with a closed fist. The woman said she told him that she was about to call the police and he hit her again in the face with his fist and left on foot.
On August 9 at 10:22 a.m., a B.B. King Road woman said that her neighbor, a Lucille Street resident, keeps coming onto her property and mowing her grass. She said that she has spoken to the man about where his property line ends and where hers begins and that orange flags have even been placed to mark the property line. But she has begun to notice that the flags are being moved and removed more and more. She has now told the neighbor that if he comes back onto her property that she is going to file trespassing charges against him.
On August 9 at 8:24 p.m., a 32-year-old Hull Circle man was seen stuffing merchandise down in his clothes and walking out of the east side door of Walmart. As he was being walked back in to the security office, he stopped near a drink machine and officers saw him pulling merchandise out of his pants. He reportedly told the officers that he needed some “drawers.” The man reportedly had $55 on him, two packs of Hanes extra large undershirts and one pack of briefs totaling $43.81. The man has reportedly been banned from the store many times before so charges were filed.
On August 11 at 1:44 a.m., a Wiggins Road man said that his son went to visit his grandmother at the Pine West Apartments and left his 2020 Dodge Journey running and someone jumped in the vehicle and stole it. It was later located in Hollandale.
On August 11 at 12:10 a.m., a Johnson Street woman said someone broke the windows out of her home.
On August 9 at 10:58 p.m., a woman said that she and her mother got into a physical fight in the 300 block of Lee Street. An unnamed person tried to break the fight up and in the process the woman said she got cut on a mirror that was propped up against a wall. She was reportedly taken to the emergency room by family members.
On August 12 at 8:23 a.m., a 34-year-old Bayou Road woman walked into the Love's Travel Stop in the 1200 block of U.S. Highway 82 and asked the cashier for a pack of Marlboro Light cigarettes and walked out of the store without paying. The cashier told a police officer who was already in the store, so he went out to confront the woman in her vehicle. The woman allegedly got out and threatened to kill the officer. She reportedly did not have anything in her hands, but made several advances toward him so he pulled out his taser. She refused to go back in the store to pay for the cigarettes and was subsequently arrested for shoplifting and assault on an officer.
On August 12 at 3:16 p.m., a Chandler Street, Inverness woman said that she was driving east on Wiggins Road near Garrard Avenue when she hit a pothole that damaged the a tire on her vehicle. She said that she did not see the pothole at first and by the time she noticed it, it was too late. The woman said she saw the tire pressure go down to zero on her dashboard and when she pulled over at the intersection of Wiggins Road and Bates Street she found that her front passenger side tire was flat.
On August 13 at 8:30 a.m., a Brantley Circle woman said that her son was bitten by her neighbor's dog on August 12 at around 8:00 a.m. The woman said her neighbor, a 34-year-old Brantley Circle woman, has several dogs at her home and they all stay inside; however, when she lets the dogs out they run into her yard without a leash. She said the dog that bit her son was very large and that she does not know the breed. The woman reportedly took her son to the hospital to be treated and the hospital staff advised her to file a report.

On Friday at 2:01 p.m., Tive Sentrell Greer, 43, 305 Sunflower St., Moorhead was arrested and charged with probation violation.
On Saturday at 3:40 a.m., Nelson Torries Brookins, 56, 201 Wiggins Road, Apt. 44 was arrested and charged with operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicating liquor.
On Saturday at 9:26 p.m., Damari Quintae Wells, 22, 825 Hart Drive, Greenville was arrested and charged with careless driving, speeding on a state highway, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended/revoked driver's license.
On Monday at 10:39 a.m., Tellic Mosby, 30, 305 Adrian Drive, Greenville was arrested and charged with probation violation.
On Monday at 2:43 p.m., Derrick Terrill Thompson, 44, 316 Patricia Drive was arrested and charged with abuse, neglect or exploitation of a vulnerable adult.
