For the second time in less than a week, the Indianola community gathered to pray over and mourn the life of someone lost to gun violence.
Delexius Betties, a 29-year-old father of two, with one child on the way, was gunned down during an ambush last Saturday night while driving around town with friends.
Police currently have no named suspects in the case, and they said Betties and the passengers of the car had no known enemies.
Dozens of shell casings were found at the scene, police said
Family and friends paid tribute to Betties on Friday night, describing him as a God-fearing, church-going man who never missed a Sunday of worship.
The community gathered last Sunday night to mourn the passing of Jamie Iverson, who was shot during a robbery attempt at her store, Paul's Jewelry on Front Street last Friday.
