Almost one year after the murder of Indianola business owner Jamie Iverson, a third suspect in the case is in custody.
Phillip Eugene Harris was apprehended in Kennesaw, Ga. this past weekend during a routine traffic stop, according to a report from Fox 5 Atlanta.
Brothers Kenterius Wright and Daquarius Wright were arrested days after the apparent robbery attempt at Paul’s Jewelry on Front Street that turned deadly when one of the two men inside the store shot Iverson.
Iverson was alone in the store on the morning of April 23, 2021 when two men entered around mid-morning. The accused spent mere minutes in Indianola that day, but the tragic impact of those minutes is still felt a year later.

It has been rumored since the week of the shooting that a third person was believed to be involved in the shooting, but that was not confirmed until Harris’ arrest on Saturday morning.
Apparently, authorities had a warrant out for Harris’ arrest for his involvement in the murder.
Authorities in Kennesaw told Fox 5 the vehicle Harris was apparently a passenger in was pulled over for a tail light violation.
Police smelled marijuana and had the two men step out of the vehicle while their criminal histories were run, according to the report.
Indianola Police Sgt. Regina Simpson spoke with Fox 5 telling the news station that Harris was a childhood friend of the Wright brothers.
Harris will likely be en route to Sunflower County soon.
There has been no official word on charges for Harris. The Wright brothers were charged with capital murder a year ago and both received initial bonds north of $500,000.
