Indianola police made the following arrests,
On Thursday at 6:47 p.m., Rometria Sharence Carter-Murry, 31, 117 Gillespie Drive was arrested and charged with simple assault on a policeman, fireman, school official or employee of a private correctional facility in the line of duty. One officer was called to assist another in serving a warrant and when they attempted to place Carter-Murry in handcuffs she reportedly turned around with a closed fist and hit one of the officers in the nose causing a nose bleed. She was subsequently arrested, charged and booked into the Sunflower County jail.
On February 16 at 4:00 p.m., Shakori Shondranique Dawson, 20, 315 West Gresham St., and Arriana Lonnisha Green, 23, 1156 South Colorado St., Greenville were arrested and each charged with shoplifting after a Walmart employee said they stole three phone accessories valued at $45.
On February 16 at 11:02 p.m., Austin Raymond Summerall, 19, 250 West Leavell Woods Drive, Jackson, Mississippi; Johnny Lee Jenkins, 20, 1254 Gibbons Street, Greenville; Marlin Samuel Thomas Jr., 20, 79 Posey Street, Eupora, Mississippi and Lonnie Larale Bennett Jr., 34 Manning Circle, Delta City, Mississippi were each arrested and charged with shoplifting after a Walmart employee said they stole $10 worth of candy bars.

On Sunday, a 29-year-old Spruce Street woman said that on Saturday at 8:01 p.m., a 40-year-old CC Road, Belzoni man assaulted her by hitting her in the back of the head causing her to lose consciousness. The report indicated that she suffered a knot to the back of her head and a dislocated left shoulder and that she wants to press charges.
On February 16 at 10:30 a.m., a Pine Oak, Yazoo City woman said two women went into her purse, in the 600 block of Marie Avenue, and stole several credit cards and $300 cash. The duo reportedly tried to use one of the credit cards at the Kroger's in Cleveland, Mississippi.
On February 15 at 9:26 a.m., a 37-year-old Plainview Drive, McGehee, Arkansas woman said someone stole a $15 phone charger and an auxiliary cord valued at $15 out of her 2016 Chevrolet Traverse in the 100 block of Second Street.
On Saturday at 4:41 p.m., an officer on patrol saw a 2010 Chevrolet Impala, driven by a 25-year-old Highland Drive, Belzoni man, run a stop sign near Second Street and Front Avenue.
On Friday at 7:56 a.m., a 21-year-old Seymour Drive man said someone went into a 2015 Nissan Altima and a 2003 Ford Mustang and stole banking information, $100 cash, an ID/license, a wallet and Visa debit card. A 42-year-old Seymour Drive woman is also listed as a victim along with a 19-year-old Seymour Drive woman.
On February 16 at 8:28 a.m., a 30-year-old Church Street, Belzoni man said someone he only knows by a nickname threatened to shoot him.
On February 16 at 12:19 p.m., a Citi Trends employee/manager said two former employees, a 21-year-old Hampton Street Extended woman and a 21-year-old Savannah Street woman, were guilty of a shoplifting that took place on December 12, 2021. She said the women switched the price tags on 150 items totalling $4,500 that resulted in them paying a lower price.
On Sunday at 1:45 p.m., a 63-year-old Porter Drive man called officers after he heard several shots being fired while he was sitting in his living room. Officers found what appeared to be bullet holes in the window on the west side of his home. A 52-year-old Porter Drive man is also listed as a victim. Additionally, officers reportedly found 17 .40 caliber Winchester shell casings and a black and white baseball cap.
On Sunday at 10:03 a.m., a 58-year-old Paris Drive woman and a 59-year-old Paris Drive man said someone broke into their 2009 Toyota Highlander and 2019 Ford F-150 pickup truck. No items were reported as stolen.
On February 15 at 3:23 p.m., a Pecan Warehouse employee said someone cut the fence at the Second Street business and went into two vehicles, a 2012 Dodge LST pickup truck and a 2014 Dodge Ram pickup truck, but reportedly nothing was taken.
On February 9 at 8:54 a.m., a 21-year-old Weeks Road Mathison, Mississippi man said someone broke into his 2005 Buick Century and stole an Apple iPad and a pair of Med-Stat uniform pants and a shirt.
On Thursday at 7:18 a.m., a Hannah Avenue man said someone hit his mailbox and damaged it.
On Thursday at 5:04 p.m., a 55-year-old Walker Street woman said a 31-year-old Gillespie Drive woman is harassing her by continuing to call her phone after she has told her not to and the woman also reportedly threaten to kill her and her daughter. Another Walker Street woman is listed on the report as is a 49-year-old Walker Street man who is listed as a victim.
On Friday at 3:55 a.m., officers responded to the Vance's Citgo gas station after being alerted by a burglary alarm. The owner, an Old Taylor Road, Oxford man, said he heard glass break and when he came out he saw a man standing in the store, but the man ran away before officers arrived.
On Saturday at 11:34 a.m., a 61-year-old Curtis Street woman said a 72-year-old Beaverdam Road man was harassing her.

On February 9 at 3:33 p.m., A 16-year-old from East Washington Street Ext. was arrested and charged with discharging/displaying a firearm and aggravated assault (use of a deadly weapon or other means).
On February 9 at 6:33 p.m., Tequela Lashelle Ferguson, 43, 301 Lee Street was arrested and charged with no liability insurance card in the vehicle, disregard for traffic control devices, improper lane passing, simple assault and resisting or obstructing arrest.
On February 11 at 4:56 p.m., Jerome Jackson, 18, (no address listed), was arrested and charged with failure to obey police officer while controlling traffic and fleeing or eluding law enforcement.
On February 11 at 8:31 p.m., Detravius T. Roberson, 20, 277 MS Highway 1 North, Greenville was arrested and charged with attempt to commit murder.
On February 11 at 9:36 p.m., Karissa Love, 22, 603 Birch St., Moorhead was arrested and charged with careless driving and disorderly conduct (failure to comply with officers' request).
On February 12 at 12:19 a.m., Jamarkius Wilkins, 20, 127 Easy St., was arrested and charged with contempt of municipal court and domestic violence--without injuries.
On February 12 at 8:43 p.m., Frederick Matthews, 24, 804 Jackson St., Cleveland was arrested and charged with no/expired driver's license, no liability insurance card in vehicle, speeding on a state highway, and failure to stop for blue lights.
On February 13 at 9:16 a.m., Dartavious L. Evon, 24, 1214 Johnny Russell Drive, Moorhead was arrested and charged with contempt of municipal court and harassment.
On February 13 at 4:07 p.m., Jervadius Flowers, 36, 899 McNeal St., Memphis, Tennessee was arrested and charged with simple assault.
On February 13 at 12:40 a.m., Charles Edward McDaniel, 53, 15 Henry Rosser Drive was arrested and charged with contempt of municipal court.
On February 15 at 1:48 a.m., Elton Simmons, 44, 809 East Washington St., Moorhead was arrested and charged with aggravated assault upon a statewide elected official, law enforcement officer, fireman, etc, domestic violence (simple assault), disorderly conduct (failure to comply with the officer's request) and resisting or obstructing arrest.

On February 16 at 7:27 p.m., Robert Parker, 50, 102 East Roosevelt St., Sunflower was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace and resisting or obstructing arrest.
On February 16 at 8:07 p.m., Romekia Thomas, 42, 605 Richie Ave., Clarksdale was arrested and charged with prohibitions generally, possession of currency in a correctional facility and sexual penetration of an incarcerated offender by a law enforcement officer.
On Thursday at 7:06 p.m., Rometria Sharence Carter, 31, 905 Pershing St., was arrested and charged with contempt of municipal court and simple assault on a law enforcement officer.
On Saturday at 12:33 a.m., Brandon Jacobi Sample, 26, 127 Barnes St., was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and DUI (first offense).
On Monday at 12:53 p.m., Terrence Willis, 33, 127 Ethel Waters Drive was arrested and charged with aggravated assault (use of a deadly weapon or other means).
